Buni hui chana dal aur narial ki chutney/cobbari Putnalpappu pachadi

Ingredients

Ingredients:  

Buni hui Chana dal               : 1 cup

Grated coconut                    :  1\2 cup

Green chillies                      :  3 to 4 nos

Red chillies                         :  2 nos.

Rai                                     : 1 tea spoon

Jeera                                  : 1\2 tea spoon

Urad dal                             : 1 tea spoon

Oil                                     :  1\2 table spoon

Salt                                    : 1 tea spoon (as per taste)

Curry leaves                        :  6 to 8 nos.

Hing                                   :  1\4 tea spoon

Method:

Grind buni hui chana dal, grated coconut and green chillies to fine thick paste by adding sufficient water and salt.  Take it into a bowl.

Heat 1\2 table spoon oil in a pan.  Add rai, jeera and urad dal.  When rai splutters add red chillies, curry leaves and hing.  Add the thadka to the chutney.

Serve this chutney wtih Idli, Dosa or Upma.
