1 Raw banana (pealed and chopped medium slices)
1 large onion
1/2 inch ginger
4 to 5 garlic flakes
1 tea spoon jeera
1 tea spoon red chilli powder(as per taste)
1 tea spoon salt (as per taste)
1/4 tea spoon haldi
few curry leaves
2 table spoons of oil
Banana slices being fried for
Aratikaya Ullikaram(Kacha Kela fry)/Raw banana onion masala fry is ready................Serve hot with rice or rotis............
Grind onion, garlic and ginger to fine paste and keep aside.
Heat a table spoon of oil in a pan. Add Jeera and curry leaves, when jeera starts spluttering add the banana slices. Add 1/2 tea spoon salt and haldi. Fry for 4 to 5 mins in a medium flame until the banana slices are 3/4 cooked. Remove them into a plate.
Now in the same pan add a table spoon of oil and heat. Add the grounded onion,ginger garlic paste. Fry until the paste changes its color to pink. Add red chilli powder and 1/2 tea spoon salt (remember that already some salt has been added to the fried slices) Now Add the fried banana slices to it and mix well. Fry for few more min. and switch off the flame. Take it into a serving bowl and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
