250 gms cluster beans
1 onion finely chopped
3 to 4 green chillies, 1/2 ginger and 5 to 6 garlic pods ground to paste
1/2 tea spoon haldi
2 to 3 table spoons of grated coconut
8 to 10 curry leaves
2 to 3 red chillies
1 tea spoon each rai, jeera and urad dal
2 tea spoons chana dal
1 table spoon of oil
Wash, remove tips and tails of cluster beans and chop finely.(half inch pieces) Sprinkle little water and cook for 2 whistles in a pressure cooker. Let it cool.
Heat oil in a pan, add rai, jeera, urad dal and chana dal. Fry until the chana dal turns golden color. Add red chillies and curry leaves stir and add Onions. Fry until the onions turn pink. Now add the grounded paste (green chillies, ginger and garlic) cook for few secs. and add the boiled garvarphalli and mix well. Add haldi and salt. Mix and cook for 3 to 4mins in a medium flame and add the grated coconut. Cook for 2 to 3 mins and switch off the flame. Take the curry into a serving bowl and garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Gavar phalli ki sabzi, Goru chikkudukaya koora (cluster beans curry) is ready..............Tastes good with rice, rotis and chapatis.
