  Sambar powder Ingredients



  • Dhaniya (whole)         3 table spoons
  • Chana dal                  3 table spoons
  • Kaali mirchi               2 table spoons
  • Methi                        1 table spoon
  • Jeera                         1 table spoon
  • Red chillies              3 to 4 chillies
  • Curry leaves             10 to 15 leaves
  • Hing                         half tea spoon

Method :

Fry all the ingredients dry(without oil)  in a frying pan until they become golden brown.   Let it cool and grind into fine powder.

This powder is sufficient for making sambar once or twice depending upon the quantity you make.

This powder should be stored air tight for more than 15 days.
