Aratikaya Bajji/Raw Banana Bajji/Kela Bajji
Ingredients for Aratikaya Bajji/Raw Banana Bajji/Kela Bajji
Ingredients:
1 Raw banana (Medium slices)
1 cup Besan (gram flour)
2 table spoons rice flour
a pinch of soda bi carb
1 tea spoon red chilli powder (as per taste)
1/2 tea spoon Ajwain (vaamu/carom seeds)
1 tea spoon salt (as per taste)
1 table spoon fresh dhaniya leaves finely chopped
Oil for deep fry
Batter for Aratikaya Bajji/Raw Banana Bajji/Kela Bajji
Peal the raw banana and chop to medium size slices. (You can see in the pic. above)
Take besan and rice flour in a bowl and mix well. To it add salt, red chilli powder, soda bi carb, Ajwain and dhaniya. Make a smooth but thick batter by adding sufficient water. (You can see in the pic. above)
Heat sufficient oil in a pan for deep fry. Dip each banana slice in the batter and care fully leave it in the oil. Fry until golden brown, drain on a kitchen paper.
