Urad dal      ..     1 cup

Idli rawa     ..     2 cups

(boiled rice rawa)

Salt            ..      2 tea spoons

Methi          ..     1 tea spoon

(fenugreek seeds)


Idli dough and mould

Soak Urad dal and methi seeds for 3 to 4 hours.

Soak idli rawa(boiled rice rawa, you can get it in any south indian stores)  separately for 3 to 4 hours and drain the water.

Grind urad dal into fine thick  paste by adding sufficient water.  Take it into a bowl or container.  Add the rawa to it. Add salt and leave the mixture  aside (covered) for 8 to 10 hours.  

Grease the idly mould properly and fill 3\4 of each with the batter.  Steam it in a pressure cooker for 10 to 12 min. approx.  

Serve hot with Sambar or any Chutney.
