Pav Bhaji

Ingredients for Pav Bhaji


3 potatoes

1 cup cauliflower florets 

1 cup chopped carrots

1/2 cup green peas

1 capsicum (finely chopped)

4 tomatoes (grounded or chopped)

2 Onions  (1 onion to be grounded to paste)

2 tea spoons ginger garlic paste

1 and 1/2 tea spoon chilli powder

1/2 tea spoon haldi

2 tea spoons salt

1/2 tea spoon sugar (optional)

2 table spoon kaju paste (optional)

2 to 3 tea spoons pav bhaji masala

2 table spoons oil (butter can also be used)

Fresh dhaniya leaves for ganish

For Pav:

Butter to fry the pav



Boil potatoes, cauliflower, carrots and green peas.  Drain excess water and  

mash the vegitables  and keep them aside.

Heat Oil in a pan, to it add finely chopped capsicum and cook for few sec.  

Now add ginger garlic paste to it and cook for few sec.  To it add 

Onion paste and cook until it turns pink.  Now add chilli powder and 

haldi stir and add tomato paste to it.  Cook until it leaves oil.  Now add the 

cooked and mashed vegitables to it mix well and add kaju paste (optional)

salt and sugar (optional). Mash thoroughly using potato masher. Add 

the pav bhaji masala and mix well.  Now add a cup of water

(you can use the drained water) .  Cook for 4 to 5 mins and 

switch off the flame and take it into a bowl and garnish with fresh dhaniya 


Pav Bhaji

Slice the pav into two horizontal pieces and apply butter on it.  Now heat a 

tava and cook the pav both the sides until golden color.  Serve hot with 

Bhaji........ Yummy Pav Bhaji is ready.........enjoy...........
