SUJI IDLI 

 

INGREDIENTS:

                              1         CUP SUJI (RAVA)

                              1         ½ TBSP OIL

                              1         CUP CURD

                              ½        CUP WATER, APPROX

                              ½         TBSP SODA-BICARB

                              ¾         TBSP SALT 

:                             1          TOMATO

                              4-5        CASHEWS (SPLIT)

                              8-10     CURRY LEAVES

Method:

Take a bowl add 1 and 1 \12 Table spoons of oil heat it in a mircrowave for a min.  Add suji and mix well.  Heat suji in microwave for 2 mins.  Allow it to cool.  Add salt, curd and water mix well until it becomes smooth.  To it add 1\2 table spoon soda bicarb. and mix well.

Grease the idli mould ( if you don't have a mould grease small katoris).  Place a slice of tomato and split cashew nuts and curry leaves in the mould.  Pour 3 - 4 table spoons of mixture into the mould (or katoris).  Keep the idli stand (or place the katoris uncovered) in the microwave for 5 mins.  Suji Idlis are ready....... serve hot with sambar and chutney (coconut or any other)
