Thotakura-Palakoora Pakodi/Chouli ki baaji aur Palak ke Pakore
Ingredients for Thotakura-Palakoora Pakodi/Chouli ki baaji aur Palak ke Pakore
Ingredients:
1 bunch Palak (100 gms)
1 bunch Thotakura (Amaranthus) 100 gms
1 large onion
2 table spoons chopped coriander leaves
few curry leaves
1 tea spoon red chilli powder
salt to taste
1 cup basen
2 table spoons Rice powder
1 tea spoon ginger garlic paste
a pinch of soda bicarb
Oil for deep fry
Add sufficient water and make a smooth batter
Method:
Wash and drain the leafy vegetables. Chop finely. Dice onions and take them into a bowl. Now mix the chopped leafy vegetables, coriander leaves, curry leaves, chilli powder, basen, rice powder, garlic ginger paste and salt to taste. Also add a pinch of soda bicarb and mix well. Add sufficient water and make a smooth batter. You can see the pic. above.
Fry until the pakoras turn to golden brown
Heat oil in a pan for deep fry. Now drop the batter with your fingers or with a spoon into the oil carefully. Fry until they turn golden brown. Remove from the oil and drain them on an absorbent paper. Crispy and tasty Thotakura-Palakoora Pakodi/Chouli ki baaji aur Palak ke Pakore are ready ..........Serve hot with tomato sauce...........
