Ingredients: (serves 4)
1 bowl grated loki (doodhi/sorakaya/bottle gourd)
1 bowl milk
3 to 4 table spoons sugar (as per taste)
Dry fruits for garnish
2 table spoons desi ghee
2 to 3 cardamoms (powdered)
Dry fruits being fried for
Heat 2 table spoons of desi ghee in a thick bottomed pan. Fry dry fruits until golden color, remove from the ghee and keep them aside.
Grated loki being fried for
In the same ghee fry the grated loki until transparent.
Milk add to grated loki for preparing
Now add 1 bowl milk to it and mix well. Allow to cook in a medium flame. Stir in between and cook until the milk is completely absorbed.
Sugar added to the cooked loki for preparing
Add 3 to 4 table spoons of sugar (as per taste). Stir well. Cook until the halwa becomes dry.
