1 cup green peas (fresh or frozen, Soak in warm water for 10 mins if you are using frozen peas)
2 to 3 tomatoes (ground to paste)
2 onions (ground to paste)
2 tea spoons ginger garlic paste
6 to 8 cashews and 2 tea spoons khas khas ground to paste
1 tea spoon jeera
1 tea spoon red chilli powder
1 tea spoon salt (as per taste)
1/2 sugar (optional)
1 tea spoon garam masala powder
1 tea spoon dhaniya powder
1/2 tea spoon haldi
2 table spoons oil
fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Heat oil in a pan. Fry the paneer pieces gently, in a medium flame and keep them aside.
Now in the same oil, add a tea spoon of jeera. When jeera starts spluttering add the ginger garlic paste to it. Saute and add the onion paste. Fry in a medium flame until the paste changes color to pink. Now add red chilli powder, haldi, garam masala powder and dhaniya powder. Mix well and add the Kaju-khas khas paste and the tomato paste. Add salt and sugar to it and cook until it starts leaving oil.
Now add green peas to it stir, cook for 2 to 3 mins. Add paneer to it mix well add a cup of water and simmer the flame. Cook until the gravy thickens, switch off the flame and take it into a serving bowl. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Mutter paneer(Paneer green peas curry) is ready.......... Serve with hot rotis, chapatis or pooris......It tastes good with rice or pulav too...........enjoy............
