Wash and soak chana dal for 15 to 20 mins. Par boil and keep aside. (boil until partially cooked) Heat 2 table spoons of oil in a pan. Add rai, jeera, red chillies and urad dal. When rai starts spluttering add green chillies, curry leaves and onions. Fry until they turn pink. Add ginger garlic paste and stir, cook for few sec. and add haldi to it. Mix well and add finely chopped cabbage to it. Add salt, stir and close the lid. Cook for 5 to 6 min. in a medium flame. Mix in between.
When cabbage is half cooked add boiled chana dal to it. Mix well and cook in a medium flame until the curry is done. Switch off the flame and take the curry into a serving bowl and garnish with grated coconut and fresh dhaniya leaves.
