Draw out a landscaping plan for your garden. 
 A rough sketch will do.
The site should be thoroughly levelled with spade. Pebbles and weeds are hand picked.  The soil is rolled with a roller. 




Fill the area with mixture of garden earth and manure in the ratio of 3:1  (3 parts of garden and 1 part of manure) Spread some gamaxin/Methyl Parathion on the soil.  Water the area and leave it for a week. This is done to allow the weeds present in the lawn to come up. After a week remove all the weeds. You are now, ready to lay the grass. Choose good quality grass from a nursery. 



For a sunny location you can plant the Korean Carpet grass or the Mexican Carpet grass.








Starting from one edge place a piece of the carpet  grass. Strike it with a piece of wood or a brick (make sure that the surface is flat.) Now  place another piece next to it.   Remember that there should be no gaps in between the pieces.  Pack  them closely to each other. Continue in this fashion until the entire area has been covered.

 Tips:
>Try not to walk on your lawn for two weeks.
>Wait at least two weeks until mowing new lawns.
>keep your new lawn damp until it gets established.
