Clean and wash mutton. Add 2 tea spoons of ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, dhaniya powder, haldi and lemon juice. Marinate it for half an hour. Now cook it in a pressure cooker for atleast 6 to 8 whistles.
Soak the dals together for at least 15 mins. Now add the soaked dals, chopped onions and green chillies to the cooked mutton. Pressure cook for 4 to 5 more whistles. The dal and the mutton should be cooked properly.
Soak tamarind in warm water and extract the pulp. Now add the pulp to the cooked dal and mutton and boil it for 3 to 5 mins. Add salt to taste.
Heat 2 table spoons of oil and add rai, jeera, cloves, cinnamon, bay leaves and curry leaves. When rai starts spluttering add the thadka to the cooked dalcha. Garnish with coriander leaves.Tasty Mutton dalcha is ready to serve.......Enjoy with rotis or rice.......
