Ingredients

• ​125 gm khoya(mava)
• 2 to 3 table spoons of Maida (all purpose flour)
• 2 to 3 table spoons of milk 
• (for making the dough)
• 150 gm sugar
• 1/4 glass water
• 1 tea spoon cardamom powder
• 1/2 table spoon ghee (for making the dough)
• Ghee (or Oil) for deep frying gulab jamuns

Method

>    Mix sugar 150 gms of sugar in 1/4 glass of water.



>   Simmer over a slow flame till the syrup is of 1 string consistency.


>   Remember the the syrup should be slightly warm when you drop the gulab jamuns in it.






For Making Gulab jamuns:



>    Combine khoya with maida, ghee, and mix them properly.  Knead to a firm dough adding 2 to 3 tbsp

 of milk .  Divide the mixture equal portions.


>    Roll into rounds. These should have no cracks on the surface as otherwise the gulab jamuns will crack while frying. 


>    Deep fry the gulab jamuns in ghee over a slow flame till the jamuns turn to golden brown in color.


>    Drain and immerse them into the warm sugar syrup. Soak for around 1 or 2 hours.


>    Serve warm.
