250 gms chicken sausage (remove the casing and chop to medium size pieces)
1 cup chopped onions
2 green chillis
1/4 capsicum chopped to small pieces
1 cup tomato paste
1/2tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp haldi
1 tsp dhaniya powder
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
half cup coconut milk
(to make coconut milk at home, grind fresh coconut pieces to fine paste in a mixie, add some water, filter and extract the coconut milk)
2 to 3 cloves and half inch cinnamon
2 tbsp oil
salt to taste
1 tsp pepper powder (freshly ground) and chopped coriander leaves for garnish
Ingredients to make the kaju paste:
1 tbsp kaju
1 tsp jeera
1 tsp dhaniya
Grind them to fine paste adding sufficient water
Method
Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the chopped sausage pieces to golden brown in a medium flame. Remove them from the oil and keep them aside.
Now to the same oil add the cloves and cinnamon. Stir fry and add the chopped onions, green chillies and the capsicum pieces.
When the onions are cooked add the ginger garlic paste, red chilli pwdr, dhaniya pwdr, haldi and salt.
Cook for a while and add the tomato paste. Cook until the oil starts leaving the edges in a medium flame. When the tomato paste is properly cooked add the kaju paste.
Cook for few mins and add the shallow fried chicken sausage pieces and mix well.
Add the coconut milk and cook in a medium flame for around 6 to 8 mins. When the gravy thickens switch off the flame and take the curry into a serving bowl.
Garnish with freshly ground pepper powder and chopped coriander leaves. Chicken sausage curry is ready ...........enjoy
