Clean and wash thoor dal. Boil thoor dal in a pressure cooker adding chopped onions, haldi and green chillies for 4 whistles. Mash the dal well after the pressure is gone and keep it aside.
Heat Oil in a pan. Add Rai, jeera and urad dal. When rai starts spluttering add ginger garlic paste. Fry for few secs and add curry leaves. Add chilli powder and dhaniya powder. Stir and add the thadka to the mashed dal. Add salt, mix well and boil for 2 to 3 mins. and the dal is done. Simple Thoor Dal Fry (Thalimpu Pappu) is ready............
