Ingredients

  • 1/2 ltr lactating milk (1st days milk)
  • 2 cups plain milk (normal milk)
  • 1 cup grated Jaggery
  • 2 tea spoons black pepper corns
  • 4 to 5 cardamoms

Method

Grind peppers and cardamoms to powder in a mixie.   Mix all the ingredients well in a bowl.  Filter the milk and put in a steel vessel.  

Place the vessel in a pressure cooker.  Cover the vessel with a lid.



 

Close the pressure cooker and steam it for 15 to 20 mins.  Allow it to cool.  Tasty and easy Junnu is ready...........Serve it chilled or hot..........

Tip:  For preparing junnu with the 2nd day's lactating milk, you need not add any plain milk.  Add the rest of the ingredients and prepare junnu.
