Clean and wash the shrimps and take them into a bowl. Add the lemon juice, haldi powder, 1 tea spoon ginger garlic paste,1/2 tea spoon dhaniya powder, a pinch of salt and half tea spoon red chilli powder. Mix well and allow it to marinate for atleast 15 mins.
Now boil half cup chopped onions for 5 mins and remove the water. Grind it to fine paste and keep it aside.
Heat oil and add the marinated shrimps. Fry for 2 to 3 mins and remove from the oil. Now add cloves, cinnamon and jeera to the remaining oil. Stir fry, when the jeera starts spluttering add the remaining half cup chopped onions. Fry until the onions turn translucent and add a tea spoon of ginger garlic paste.
Fry for few seconds and add the green chillies and the curry leaves. Now add the grounded onion paste and cook in a medium flame until the paste starts leaving the oil. Add salt to taste, half tea spoon red chilli powder and half tea spoon dhaniya powder. (remember we have already added half of the quantities to marinate the shrimps , chilli powder may be added according to your taste)
Stir fry add the fried shrimps and cook in a low flame for few more mins and add the chopped coriander leaves. (over cooking the shrimps gives rubbery texture) Mix well and take it into a serving bowl. Now sprinkle the pepper powder and garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve.......Tasty Shrimp fry/Royyala vepudu is ready to serve .......Tastes good rice, rotis or chapatis...
