(grind all these ingredients to fine paste adding sufficient water)
Clean the fish with vinegar or salt. Heat oil in a thick bottomed pan, add bay leaves and split green chili. Stir and the grounded Paste. Fry for few mins. until it starts leaving oil in a medium flame. Add fish, sugar and salt to taste. Mix carefully. Add a cup of water and simmer the flame. Cook until the curry is done. Add coconut milk, garam masala and boil for few sec. and switch off the flame. Take it into a bowl and garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve hot with steamed rice rotis or chapatis. Add melted butter for extra flavor.
